Goodwin University Dental Hygiene Program is looking for a part time Clinical Staff Dentist to oversee delivery of local anesthetics given by dental hygiene students during clinical rotations.

Under the supervision of the Program Director and working directly with the clinic coordinator, staff dentist will be responsible for general supervision of local anesthesia, assisting in diagnosis of dental diseases and the need for oral appliances, evaluation of radiographic images, patient consultation and referral as needed. On occasion, the dentist will need to give direct patient care, such as administering local anesthesia, delivery of oral appliances and making adjustments as needed, as part of a teaching-learning situation.

Hours:

We are looking to fill this position with flexibility in days. Preferably, we are looking for: Monday 9am-2pm, Thursday 4pm-8pm, Saturday 9am-2pm

Qualifications:

• DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental institution
• Licensed (current) to practice dentistry in the State of Connecticut.
• Teaching experience preferred but not required.
• CPR certification
• Active liability insurance
